Supervision

For those who may be unfamiliar with the term, supervision is not a managerial function, although it can be helpful in improving competency and maintaining high standards of professional behaviour and ethics. Supervision provides a regular space in which one person facilitates the other to reflect on his or her own practice and process in order to support their confidence and professional growth. The supervisory relationship is an extremely beneficial resource used across a range of professions, and increasingly by complementary therapists. I work with people across a range of helping professions, including but not limited to craniosacral therapists. I have personally benefitted from the support and encouragement of regular supervision throughout my career and continue to access regular sessions for myself.

Supervision can be playful, creative, challenging, tender…. I hold a clear, nourishing and supportive space for practitioners to reflect and explore aspects of themselves in relation to their work with clients. For Craniosacral therapists based in the UK, the CSTA requires mandatory supervision for the first two years of membership after graduation from an accredited training. That said, it is strongly recommended to have ongoing supervision throughout your career. I am fully trained with CSTD and accredited as a supervisor by the CSTA. I work online or face-to-face at my practice location in Totnes. Fees are £60 per hour, payable on the day by BACS or PayPal.
