Singing for Health

I hope that you have managed to stay healthy and resourced these past months as we have been navigating such challenging times. As the UK emerges from lockdown, perhaps your plans and priorities have changed, and maybe you have found some unexpected joy amidst the difficulties. For me, I have very much enjoyed the sunshine and the opportunity to spend plenty of time in my garden. When the nation began its weekly applause for the NHS, I gathered a group of neighbours to sing (in a large physically distanced circle) and this group has flourished, bringing together the whole range of our community each week Singing together is great medicine, helping us to regulate our nervous systems and reducing feelings of social isolation, anxiety and depression.
